May 2010 issue of Custom Car featured a shoot I did of this 59 Chevy Apache. Shot down in Guildford in 2009 with Betty Bones and her awesome ink.

Check out more shots in the flickr set.

OK, looks like Milkcow are moving on to the next issue so I’ve uploaded the shots from the feature in issue 5. It always interests me when you see how the art editor has interpreted your work. Obviously a big part of photography is composition so when you see things cropped it can change the shot. I’m not saying I’m always right, it’s just interesting.

Milkcow Cherry Vanity Feature

This was how I sent it in…

As you can see it’s has the left side of the doorway chopped off.

Anyhoo, here are some more shots from the shoot, it was shot near to the Ace Cafe back on 2nd May. Cherry was a good laugh, she is a burlesque dancer first and foremost rather than a model.

Yesterday I went along to the catwalk show “You Had Me From Hello”, where the fine work of Enamore was on show. Burlesque dancers and models mixed together to put on a fantastic and unusual runway show.  Enamore is a creative fashion label producing beautiful clothing, lingerie and accessories from organic, sustainable and vintage fabrics. Other ethical retails sponsored the event including Fair Vodka who laid on some rather tasty coffee cocktails.

Anzac Day

Author: Nick

By coincidence I got to shoot an Australian car with an Australian model on Anzac Day today. Vic’s gorgeous 1936 Ford runs a Flathead V8 and has a cool buddy seat in the back. Thanks to Nikki Anastasios for her hard work. Here’s the first couple of shots processed, more will come on the Flickr set

Tony Shailer was kind enough to let me shoot his ’34 Ford Sportline just before Christmas. Betty Bones was the model for the shoot and one of Tony’s friends let us use his garage. It was freezing cold so Betty did a great job of keeping a sunny disposition. Tony has now sold the ’34 and has an awesome gasser which I should be shooting soon. If anyone reading this has a cool Rod and would like me to shoot it with Betty let me know as she is keen to shoot with me again and Betty loves Hot Rods!
